They think I'm a grown up or something.

I realized something at work today: I much prefer being call "Miss" to being called "Ma'am".

Oh I know! It's like 'Ma'am' is for old Southern ladies and women with big handbags and hankies. I like 'Miss' because it implies in a lovely way I may still have it and I'm not Mom-ified completely.

I miss "miss".

As you might have already inferred from my animal hide handbag from high school, I was a "ma'am" user. I apologize for both the purse and my language.
