Like when you go to the
Kennecott copper mine. Which, by the way, is one of the best kept secrets in UT (okay, so maybe the fact that the side of the mountain is totally carved out and you can see it from space doesn't really qualify it as a "secret", but man, no one told me how cool that place is).
Anyway, point is, we made friends with the security guard. And maybe we chatted him up and asked questions incessantly about the mine and all of the minerals that are found there. And maybe he gave us some really cool sparkly rocks from the bottom of the humongous pit. And just maybe it made me sort of want to start a rock collection.
