Recently, I came across an article in Self Magazine that stated, "Socializing isn't the only way to alleviate loneliness. Spending time with a beloved pet or dependable everyday object (such as a car) can also generate a sense of connection, a study from the University of Chicago indicates."
I'm sorry, University of Chicago, I don't quite buy it.
I woke up this morning to an empty house (all of my roommates were out working like real people), so I decided to go run a few errands all by my lonesome. Now I've had 8 years to develop my relationship with my car, but as much as I love my 2000 Honda Civic, Itchi, I don't think it'll ever generate the "sense of connection" I have with my friends.

sometimes I feel like such a lady
Thanks, Noelle, for getting married and giving us a reason to throw a ladylike shower.
No party is complete without a little DC.

Sleepover!
We're having a sleepover at the green house with Hailey tonight and I can hardly contain my excitement. I've had a lot of sleepover's in my day, but I have a feeling none of them can top this.

Oh no she di'nt!
Oh, c'mon Ms. Knowles, really?! As I was doing my weekly perusing of Brownsista.com, I came across Beyonce's new line for children, Dereon Girls (okay, so maybe I wasn't looking at brownsista.com, but thanks Perez). As much as I love the House of Dereon (aka House of Diarrhea), I'm not sure I want my future children to look like baby ho's. A four year old in heels?! I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
